Abstract

EN: The importance of listening skills as the main component of students' general speaking competence were discovered in the article. English teachers teach the aspects of it during education through the formation of professionally oriented language competence in future specialists of the hotel and restaurant business. The educational value of developing the ability to perceive speech by ear has a positive effect on the development of auditory memory, which is important for learning a foreign language. Improving listening skills is necessary for a successful well-trained manager who has good listening skills in addition to the ability to generate new ideas that can be successfully implemented.
