"Wonder world around us" considersthe didactic possibilities o f ecological paths, discloses its role in the students' training and
analyzes the possibility o f its use.
Educational ecological path is a form o f environmental education and up-bringing. Peculiarityof the work on the eco-trail is
a combination o f theoretical knowledge with the personal participation in environmental activities.
In order to prepare future teachers for the formation o f ecological culture o f the students and their level o f environmental
literacy in the MelitopolTeacher Training University named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky in 2004 was created educational
ecological path "Wonder world around us".
The structure o f the trail consists o f seven stations: "Arboretum", "Rare anddisappearing plants," "Agrophytocenoses",
"Meadow vegetation", "Ornamental plants", "Without the willows and viburnum no Ukraine”, "Human impact on
biogeocoenoses."
The main factor o f formation o f students ’ responsible attitude to nature is their research and practical activities to study the
nature o f native land, methods o f environmental management in the region. According to it, it is advisable to use as a material
base ecological path.
Implementation o f research tasks contribute to the deepening and expansion o f environmental knowledge o f students,
applying o f theoretical knowledge in practice, formation o f environmental culture.In order to form the students' skills o f the
organization system research in school, was developed didactic package o f research tasks to be done at the stations o f the
ecological path.
Thus, the educational ecological path "Wonder world around us," is an effective form of students’ professional trainingto
form the ecological literacy and culture o f schoolchildren.Educational ecological path can and must become the center o f the
didactic and methodical work at the university on the problems o f environmental education.
