Творчий конкурс як засіб реалізації творчого потенціалу студентів нелінгвістичних спеціальностей

Abstract

UK: Статтю присвячено дослідженню способів реалізації творчого потенціалу як невід’ємної складової частини всебічного розвитку особистості під час підготовки фахівців нелінгвістичних спеціальностей у закладах вищої освіти у процесі викладання дисциплін «Іноземна мова» та «Іноземна мова за професійним / фаховим спрямуванням». Досліджено й узагальнено досвід закордонних і вітчизняних науковців, що вивчали різні аспекти розвитку творчих здібностей молоді та методологію впровадження креативності як важливого компонента підготовки сучасного конкурентоспроможного спеціаліста. Підкреслено необхідність включення творчої складової частини у процес вивчення дисциплін гуманітарного циклу, зокрема іноземних мов. У статті викладено результати експерименту із залучення студентів нелінгвістичних спеціальностей до участі у творчих конкурсах іноземними мовами. У процесі дослідження впроваджено особливу форму позааудиторної роботи у форматі конкурсу есе іноземними мовами серед студентів агротехнологічного університету. Описано основні етапи підготовки і проведення конкурсу, представлено критерії оцінювання творчих робіт; проаналізовано твори учасників та підбито підсумки 5 років застосування такої форми роботи. У результаті аналізу виявлено основні підходи до розв’язання учасниками конкурсу поставленого завдання, а також труднощі, що виникли у процесі його опрацювання. Встановлено основні напрями вдосконалення іншомовленнєвих компетенцій здобувачів вищої освіти, що брали участь у конкурсі есе, унаслідок отриманої можливості застосувати невластивий їм мовний потенціал. Визначено основні характеристики творчих робіт, зроблено висновки щодо доцільності застосування конкурсів креативного письма серед студентів нелінгвістичних спеціальностей. У результаті дослідження доведено, що творчі конкурси є ефективним засобом організації позааудиторної форми навчання, який сприяє підвищенню мотивації до вивчення іноземної мови загалом та реалізації індивідуальних творчих здібностей зокрема. EN: The article deals with the study of ways for realizing creative potential as an integral component of all-round personality development while training students of non-linguistic specialties in higher education institutions in the process of teaching the disciplines “Foreign Language” and “Foreign Language for Specific Purposes”. The experience of foreign and domestic scholars studying different aspects of youth creativity development and methodology of introducing creativity as an important component of modern competitive specialist training have been researched and generalized. The necessity to include the creative component in the process of studying the disciplines of the humanitarian cycle, foreign languages in particular, is emphasized. The article presents the results of an experiment in engaging students of non-linguistic specialties into creative competitions in foreign languages. During the research a special form of extracurricular work in the form of the essay competition in foreign languages was introduced among the students of the agrotechnological university. The basic stages of preparation and holding the competition have been described, the criteria of evaluation of creative works are presented; the works of the participants have been analyzed and the results of 5 years of using this form of work have been summarized. The analysis revealed the main approaches to the solution of the task by the participants of the competition, as well as the difficulties encountered in the process of its processing. The basic improvement directions of foreign language competences of the students who participated in the essay competition have been revealed due to the opportunity to use language potential which is not peculiar for students of agricultural and technological universities. The main characteristics of creative works have been determined, conclusions have been drawn on the efficiency of using creative writing competitions among students of non-linguistic specialties. As a result of the research it has been proved that creative competitions are an effective means of organizing out-of-class forms of training which helps to increase the motivation for learning a foreign language overall and realize individual creative abilities in particular.
