Abstract

EN: Detailed morphological analysis of the available material using the comparative method (Starobogatov, Tolstikova, 1986) allowed a new approach to understanding the distribution and development of the viviparus (Balcanipaludina) hog population, which inhabited river and estuarine areas. The affiliation of some forms to river habitats and others to estuaries is based on the lithological composition of the deposits in which the turtles have been detected, the position of the location on the boundary of the sea basin.
