Lacunae of cultural space in the scots language

UA: На сьогоднішній день розвиток міжкультурної взаємодії різних етносів та культур стає дедалі інтенсивнішим. Лакуни є невід'ємною частиною процесу міжкультурної комунікації, що забезпечують ідентифікацію мовців як на особистісному, так і соціальному рівнях. Враховуючи виняткову природу лакун, розгляд природи феномена лакунарності є надзвичайно важливим у науковому та прикладному аспекті. EN: The process of intercultural communication is an important vector of modern linguistic research, within which the concept of interlinguistic gaps develops and functions. The term "lacuna" and the phenomenon of lacunarity has a multifaceted nature at its core, which gives rise to the problem of defining, researching and developing this concept at different linguistic levels, in particular and within comparative linguistics in general. A number of related terminology is used to denote this concept. Thus, the phenomenon of lacunarity is understood as vocabulary gaps in the compared languages, semantic gaps, the presence of realiа words in one language and the absence of such words in another. At the same time, the realias must be understood as objects, sociocultural phenomena, phenomena of historical development, and features of everyday life that are characteristic of one ethnic group, society, and civilization and are completely "foreign" to another.
