Анотація

The article examines the peculiarities of teaching a professionally oriented second foreign language in non-language universities. Teaching a second foreign language to non-linguistic students is one of the goals of teaching a second foreign language is the formation of communicative competence of students in higher education institutions, which allows them to use a foreign language on the basic level in the most typical situations. Cognition of a foreign culture through the study of a second foreign language is possible only under the conditions of intensive cognitive activity of students, their active intellectual involvement and the motivation to carry out independent research. The process of teaching a second foreign language is characterized by using the latest teaching materials, digital resources, as well as the use of modern methods to stimulate interaction between the participants in the learning process.
