One of the important issues for managers is the ability to organize their time in such a way as to get as much return as possible while still having enough free time. In modern living conditions, it is necessary to use tools to increase the efficiency of managers. One such tool is time management. An analysis of literary sources and views of foreign and domestic scientists regarding the essence of time management was carried out. The reasoned importance of its application is determined. Some scientists consider time management as managing the redistribution of work volumes, others as the art of time management, taking into account effective methods of managing one's own time. The main problems of inefficient use of time by managers are presented. The results of the study showed that managers have a low level of time management skills. Most of the interviewed managers do not plan their day, and their goals are not clearly formulated. In the course of performing their work, managers face many factors that require them to deviate from the planned. This is one's own indiscipline, thoughts on personal topics, phone calls, etc. Due to constant changes in the activities of enterprises, managers have an increasing number of tasks, so they need to find time reserves. Therefore, managers need to pay attention to the so-called "interrupters" and "absorbers" of time. There are a number of time management techniques and technologies that are designed to improve productivity. More widespread: the Pareto principle, the ALPEN method, the "Swiss cheese" method, the "disgusting frog" method, the Eisenhower method, and others. Conclusion. There are no universal planning and time management systems. It is necessary to combine the use of various methods of time management, adjusting them to individual characteristics. This will increase the efficiency of the manager, and even increase the efficiency of the entire enterprise. When time is used inefficiently, there is an activity load.
