The openness of Ukraine's economy makes it vulnerable to the many challenges that operate in the global economic environment, without reducing the adverse effects of systemic internal problems. The development of business activity of the foreign economic sector after the diversification of markets and the effective search for new directions of foreign partnership has led to an increase in both export and import components. The problem of balance of payments deficits remains urgent and is exacerbated periodically, destabilizing monetary policy and causing changes in currency regulation. Moderate devaluation and exchange rate stability is a priority of the NBU and the main lever to stimulate export activity and restore confidence of the population and business in the national currency.
